It's a nice, family restaurant with good, savory food. The wood interior and seating is cozy, and you can easily take food to go with you if you want, the wait isn't long at all. It's very delicious too. We have came here a few times, and never too busy either.

Restaurant Matsu, is a converted house to a restaurant. It's a local favorite in Kahului Maui. When you go there you order, pay, seat yourself. The food and the sushi are delicious we had ordered and enjoyed California Sushi, vegetable tempura udon. I also ordered the kimchi Ramen which was delicious until I found a piece of steel wool I love pot scrubber in my Ramen. Kaori, was very sympathetic and she refunded me the price of the kimchi Ramen, which I thought was fair. I'm sure this sort of thing happens every now and then. But if I had swallowed that it might have caused some internal problems. Being a medical professional I know what that kind of stuff would do to my gut. So if you're going to eat sushi there or tempura or something without a broth you should be pretty safe. Mahalo Wes and Wanda
